AMA Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct is designed to ensure that all children participating in our martial arts academy are treated with respect, dignity, and care. It outlines the behaviour expected of everyone within our academy, including students, instructors, staff, and visitors.

  1. Respect and Integrity -Treat everyone with respect: All students, instructors, staff, and visitors should demonstrate kindness, fairness, and respect toward each other. This includes being courteous in interactions, listening actively, and valuing each individual’s contributions. Avoid any form of bullying or intimidation: Bullying, harassment, discrimination, and any form of physical, verbal, or emotional abuse are strictly prohibited. This includes behaviours both in and out of class, such as online interactions. Practice honesty:All participants should act with integrity in their training, communications, and behaviours. Dishonesty, cheating, or any form of deception will not be tolerated.
  2. Safety and Wellbeing – Follow all safety guidelines: All children should adhere to the safety rules set by the academy, including using equipment properly, respecting physical boundaries, and following instructions from instructors. Report safety concerns immediately: If a child feels unsafe, threatened, or uncomfortable at any point, they should report it to an instructor or guardian immediately. Instructors must act promptly to address any safety issues. No physical harm: All physical interactions (sparring, techniques, drills) must be carried out with mutual respect for the wellbeing of others. Instructors must ensure that students are trained in safe techniques, and excessive force is never tolerated.
  3. Instructors and Adult Behaviour Model appropriate behaviour: Instructors and all adults involved in the academy must serve as role models for children by demonstrating respectful, professional, and appropriate behaviour at all times. – Maintain appropriate boundaries: Instructors should never engage in any behaviour that could be perceived as inappropriate, including any form of physical contact that is not directly related to martial arts training. Instructors should maintain a professional and respectful relationship with students at all times. Use appropriate language and tone: Instructors and staff should avoid using offensive language or engaging in disrespectful speech toward students.
  4. Environment and Inclusion. Promote inclusivity: The academy should be a place where all students, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, or background, feel welcomed, valued, and included. Encourage a positive learning environment: Students should be encouraged to support one another, practice patience, and celebrate individual progress. The atmosphere should foster a sense of belonging and personal growth for every child. Respect personal space: Everyone is expected to respect personal space and physical boundaries during training and outside of class activities.
  5. Supervision and Communication – Adequate supervision: Children must always be supervised by an instructor or responsible adult during class and academy-related activities. No child should be left unsupervised in any part of the facility or during events. Clear and open communication: Both children and parents/guardians should have open channels of communication with instructors and academy staff regarding any concerns or issues. Parents should feel comfortable discussing their child’s needs or experiences in the academy.
  6. Social Media and Digital Safety – Responsible use of social media:Children and adults are expected to behave responsibly and respectfully on social media and digital platforms. Sharing personal or inappropriate content about other students or the academy is not permitted. Permission for photos/ videos: The academy will request parental permission on enrolment before taking photos or videos of children for promotional purposes. Any media of students must be used in a positive and respectful manner.
  7. Reporting Concerns and Violations – Speak up if you see something wrong: Students, parents, and staff should immediately report any concerns related to bullying, abuse, misconduct, or any violation of this Code of Conduct. Reports can be made condentially to the academy management. – Zero tolerance for violations: Any violation of this Code of Conduct will result in appropriate actions, which may include a verbal warning, suspension, or permanent removal from the academy, depending on the severity of the breach.
  8. Parental/Guardian Involvement – Stay informed: Parents and guardians are encouraged to stay involved in their child’s martial arts journey, supporting their progress and reinforcing the principles of respect, discipline, and safety. Supervision or staying on site is a requirement if the academy’s policies: Parents and guardians should adhere to and support the academy’s Code of Conduct, ensuring that their children understand and respect these guidelines. -By enrolling in the academy, all students, instructors, and their families agree to abide by this Child-Safe Code of Conduct to create an environment where every child can learn and grow in a safe, respectful, and supportive setting. This Code of Conduct ensures that the academy provides an environment that prioritises the safety, respect, and development of every child, while promoting the core values of martial arts
